So where is Eden?
Eden lies between the Lakes and the Pennines; Carlisle to the north, the Howgills (sleeping elephants) to the south. Our towns are Penrith, Alston, Appleby-in Westmoreland, Kirkby Stephen and Brough. Our villages have names like Lazonby, Langwathby, Shap, Tebay, Crosby Ravensworth, Greystoke, Glenridding and Culgaith. We have lakes here and fells, and the only named wind in England - Helm wind. Eden is the largest district in England, and the most sparsely populated (lots of sheep and fresh air!).
If you haven't been to Eden you don't know what you are missing, it is a hidden gem, old England...healthy, extraordinarily beautiful, and full of rich and (ok a bit funny - in a nice way) culture.
